This 1935 Ford sits at Cafe 247, a four-corners pitstop in Lucerne Valley, California, on the way between Barstow and Big Bear, between Yucca Valley and the towns of the western Mojave Desert.
Its hubcaps are tack-welded to the hubs to thwart thieves.

When I walked around it, I thought of the past of this Ford?
Its wheels and suspension registered each discombobulation of desert roadway while providing express service.
Today, the two-door sedan (Tudor) continues to shows its spirit, as if to persuade us that the body only needs rubbing out and a new power plant is awaited.
